For those of you who couldn’t make it, some of the awards highlights were…
- 2 brand new overall Champion of Champions – both are new members from our Senior section who have thrown themselves fully into Spectrum life and deserve their awards. Congratulations to Lewis Taylor and Kate Grimoldby
- Our Special Award for contribution to the club went to Andy Garnett, who has given so much time, effort and knowledge to Spectrum over the last 40 years and when he does move away, we will miss his presence hugely.
- The Endurance Award was given to Terry Coles who is an inspiration to us all still taking part in club events and running so well into his 80s
- Not only did Karon Forster received the club’s Lifetime Achievement award (and we’d be here all day listing her club records and trophy wins) but she also picked up most improved female runner for 2023, which is nothing short of remarkable.
And we all looked fabulous in our new t-shirts paid for by the club to celebrate participating in the club’s 40th year events.
2023 was a very good year for Spectrum Striders.
