England Athletics Competition Licence
If you run in more than 5 open races in a year, it is usually cheaper overall to pay an additional fee for an
England Athletics Competition Licence
as this enables you to enter races at a reduced rate, normally £2 cheaper.
In 2018, the England Athletics Competition Licence fee increased to £15.00 (per person who races) per year and needs to be added to the Club membership fee.
There is more information on our "How to join" page.

How to join

Membership formClick here to download a membership form (in PDF format).

The form is the same whether you are renewing or joining for the first time.  The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March.

You have the option to renew for three years with a single payment.  See the membership form for details.

Our membership numbers is about 150 and growing.  Almost half of the members are ladies and we have a wide range of standards.  We do not specifically cater for juniors, but are happy to include Juniors over 14 years old in our training if they have parental permission.

If you are thinking of joining us we'll be pleased to see you.  We normally suggest that you come along and chat or run with us first for a few weeks, so that you can decide whether the club is right for you.  For details of Club nights, see our Training with us page.  Alternatively, you can contact one of the committee members - phone numbers and e-mail addresses are on our Committee web page.

There is more background information on the Club for you to look at if you wish.
Click here to download our Membership Information sheet (in PDF format).

If you would like to join us, perhaps having already run with us to find out a little about what we do, you can print off a membership form to complete and return to us. Existing members can also use this form to renew their membership.

You can pay by cheque or cash.  Existing members can also pay by bank transfer.  See the membership form for details.

Membership fee structure

England Athletics fee increasePlease note that the England Athletics Competition Licence fee has increased for 2018/19 to £15 per person (from £14).
If you only want to run in internal club events or train with us you do not need a England Athletics Competition Licence.  Note that, if you have a family membership, you need to pay one England Athletics Competition Licence fee for each person aged over 11 who wants to race.

This England Athletics Competition fee needs to be added to your club subscription when you are working out what your total subscription fee is.  Here are a couple of examples:

  • Individual membership = £15.00 [club] + £15.00 [England Athletics] giving a total of £30.00
  • Family of 4 membership = £22.00 [club] + 4 x £15.00 [England Athletics] giving a total of £82.00

Obviously, if you have no intention of competing then you can leave off the England Athletics Competition Licence fee.

Have a look on the membership form and if you have any more questions, please ask a committee member.
