Striders at the end of the Cheshire Canal Ring relay run in 2013  Welcome to Spectrum Striders Running Club

We are a friendly running club based in Birchwood in Warrington, Cheshire since 1983. We organise the long-established Birchwood 10k road race and several other races.

We have runners of all ability -  people who just run for fun, and people who compete at a professional level every week. We all share a common love of running.

So whether you're an established runner, new to running, or looking to improve your fitness, we'd love you to join us!

Cheshire Ring Relay - Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th July

We are organising a club run around the Cheshire Ring Relay this summer - the weekend of July 13th and 14th 2019.

Please get your name added to the list by Monday 4th March if you think you’d like to take part (contact Kate Johnson or a committee member), then we can get on with planning the groups and sections.

Please give us some idea of your approx running speed & maximum distance. If you aren’t 100% certain of your availability in July – better to put your name down anyway.

We want as many people as possible from Spectrum to take part, and especially we would like runners from Blue Group and the Beginners Group, so don’t be shy to come forward – talk to me if you need more information, and check with your coaches if you’re not sure what distance and speed you are capable of.

Message from our chairman Geoff Hand

Hi Everyone,

I’d just like to say a big THANKYOU to all who have now volunteered to help out on Saturday.

Thanks to you I’m much more confident we can fulfil our role in providing safe clearly marked courses with a sufficient number of marshals.

A great response.

Kind regards
